欧州研究会議（ERC）Synergy Grant 2020の公募の結果が、11月5日に公表された。国立科学研究センター（CNRS）の研究員や研究ユニット
の代表者が参加する国内パートナー機関が関与する13のプロジェクトが採択された。研究・イノベーションのための「Horizon 2020」プログラムの
枠組みにおいて、ERCは34のプロジェクトを選定した。これには総額3憶5千万ユーロの予算が組まれている。ERC Synergy Grant 2020のプロジェクト
の公募には、440の申し込みがあった。
ドイツについで、フランスは13のプロジェクトに参加している。全ての研究チームには、CNRSとそのパートナー機関の混合ユニットに所属する
研究者がいる。この補助金は、6年間継続され、複数のヨーロッパの国からなる2～4研究グループが、世界的に喫緊であり複数の科学分野にまたがる
研究課題に取り組めるようにする。ERCのこの補助金によって、ポスドク、博士学生、その他研究チームのメンバーなど1000人の雇用が生み出される。Synergy Grant 2020の公募に選ばれたCNRSのプロジェクトは次の通りである。
- 癌研究センターのSalvatore Valitutti氏（国⽴保健医学研究所（Inserm）、トゥールーズ第三大学）が参加する「Attack, analysis of the T cell’s tactical arsenal for cancer killing」
- 気象力学研究所のChristophe Genthon氏とThomas Dubos氏と気象・環境科学研究所（原子力・代替エネルギー庁（CEA）、CNRS、ベルサイユ・セルヴィス・サントオー大学、パリ＝サクレ―）のValérie Masson-Delmotte氏が参加する「Awaca, atmospheric water cycle over antarctica : past, present and future」
- 神経科学の学際的研究機関のLaurent Groc氏とValentin Nägerl氏、光通信学・デジタル・ナノサイエンス研究所のLaurent Cognet氏、神経疾患研究所のErwan Bezard氏が参加する「Ensemble, Structure and functions of the brain extracellular space」
- 生物分子研究所のGeoffrey Bodenhausen氏が参加する「Hiscore, Highly informative drug screening by overcoming NMR restrictions」
- 研究所のEmmanuel Beaurepaire氏、Rosa Cossart氏、ビジョン研究所のJean Livet氏が参加する「Hope, Reverse engineering the assembly of the hippocampal scaffold with novel optical and transgenic strategies」
- 高等師範学校の物理学研究所のFrédéric Pincet氏が参加する「LiquOrg, Do liquid crystal-like phases of proteins organize membrane compartments ?」
- 高等師範学校の生物学研究所のAntoine Triller氏が参加する「Micro-cops, Microglia control of physiological brain states」
- CIRIMATのPatrice Simon氏が参加する「NoMa-Stor, Disruptive modes and materials of energy storage」
- 国立情報学自動制御研究所（Inria）、グルノーブル情報研究所のCyril Labbé氏が参加する「Nano-bubble, How, when and why does science fail to correct itself ?」
- 植物と微生物の関係研究所（農業教育課程高等学校、CNRS、 国立農業・食糧・環境研究所（Inrae））のFabrice Roux氏が参加する「Pathocom, Understanding and predicting pathogen communities」
- 「有史前から現在までの：文化、環境、文化人類学」研究所のFrancesco D’Errico氏が参加する「Quanta, Evolution of cognitive tools for quantification」
- ナノ科学とナノ技術センターのFrédéric Pierre氏が参加する「Quantropy, Entropy in engineered quantum systems – Mesoscopic thermodynamics of correlated quantum states」
- 宇宙と宇宙物理の観測研究所のPierre Kervella氏が参加する「UniverScale, Sub-percent calibration of the extragalactic distance scale in the era of big surveys」
